Pension Process

DETAILED RETIREMENT PROCEDURE

The retirement process, step by step:

01. Checking the establishment of pension right.
Analysis of whether the legal requirements for retirement are met, in order to avoid rejections and delays.
 
02. Stamp counting & insurance.
Accurate recording of stamps and years of insurance to determine the foundation and calculate the pension.
 
03. Calculation of benefits (main, supplementary, lump sum).
Estimation of pension amount based on salary, legislation and years of insurance.
 
04. Consulting & strategic planning.
Providing specialized advice for optimal results, taking advantage of favorable provisions.
 
05. Collection and verification of supporting documents.
Organization of all required documents for a complete and correct application without omissions.
 
06. Submission of applications.
Completion and submission of applications to all competent bodies (main, subsidiary, one-time).
 
07. Editorial publication management.
Monitoring the process until the issuance and payment of the amounts to the insured.
 
08. Final decision control & monitoring.
Verification of the validity of the decision and the amount, by identifying and correcting possible errors.

What is the Extra-Institutional Paraplegia Allowance?

This is a financial benefit granted to directly and indirectly insured persons of EFKA, provided that they meet specific medical and insurance conditions.

Who is entitled to it?

  • Pensioners of old age, disability or death of EFKA.

  • Family members of pensioners, if they suffer from paraplegia, tetraplegia, myasthenia, multiple sclerosis or other diseases that cause disability of 67% or more .

What are the Grant Conditions?

  • Time Requirements: Minimum days of insurance depending on the insurance provider (e.g. 350 days in the last 4 years for IKA-ETAM).

  • Medical Conditions: Opinion from a competent health committee (KEPA).

What is the Application Process?

01. Submit an application to EFKA with the necessary supporting documents (e.g. identity card, social security card, medical certificates).
02. Examination by the Primary Health Committee of the Hellenic Health Commission.
03. Possibility of appeal and examination by a Second-tier Committee,
if necessary.

Useful Information:

The benefit covers a specific period of time and is not granted in cases of hospitalization in an institution for more than 30 days.
